Getting to Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach Travel – Flying into Cocoa Beach

The closest airport on the map to Cocoa Beach is the Melbourne International Airport. Located around 22 miles south of the city, travelers will only have to plan for a 30-minute drive via US-1N and Florida A1A N/S Atlantic Avenue after landing to get their vacation underway! Melbourne International Airport has daily non-stop flights to and from Charlotte and Atlanta alike and a variety of one-stop services with major airlines like American and Delta. Travelers can also choose to fly into Orlando International Airport to reach Cocoa Beach if they choose to. This airport is just 52 miles west of Cocoa Beach, and a trip along FL-528 takes just 50 minutes to reach the city center. Orlando International Airport is served by a long list of major airlines including United, Delta, American, Air Canada, British Airways, and beyond.

Renting a Vehicle

Both Melbourne International Airport and Orlando International Airport have a variety of rental car services on-site for those looking to obtain a vehicle to use during their stay upon arrival. There are also options to book limo services out of these airports and rideshare services work with the airports as well. If you plan to drive from Orlando International Airport into Cocoa Beach, take the Beachline Expressway (SR 528) and head east. After crossing the Intracoastal waterways, you’ll find yourself in Port Canaveral where you can link up with A1A straight to the center of Cocoa Beach where the fun awaits! If you’re driving in from Melbourne International Airport, you’ll stay on Airport Boulevard south to New Haven Avenue east. From here, you can follow A1A north for about 20 miles to Cocoa Beach.
