Events
When you want to get a real feel for the place you are visiting, attending the special events or festivals that are held every year will help. Satellite Beach is a small town, offering a population of about 11,000 people (and at last count, astronaut celeb Buzz Aldren could be counted as one of the many!), and as such, many of the festivals we love are held in nearby towns. But every November is a special month for us, with the Satellite Beach Woman’s Club offering a celebration of Founder’s Day. Offering all the charms of a small town event, including a parade that honors not just the community and the people who had the foresight to look at our stretch of beach and think, “That area would make a wonderful town!” but today’s heroes, the military, the teachers, and everyone who has shaped the way our town looks today. The parade will start off at DeLaura Middle School and the DRS Community Center will house a vendor market featuring over 200 craft and specialty vendors, making it the ideal spot to visit and to get an early start on your Christmas shopping.
