Thanksgiving in Cocoa Beach

Traveling at the holidays is a time-honored tradition, as families flock to the airports in droves, eager to celebrate with extended family who live far away or during the colder months, even more eager to celebrate in places with sunshine and beaches. Whatever your reason for traveling over the long Thanksgiving weekend, a visit to Cocoa Beach promises to bring the most comfortable of adventures and choosing to spend it with Happy Palm Stays will help create memories you will never forget. This guide to your best Cocoa Beach Thanksgiving will help you fill all the minutes of your Florida getaway with fun and excitement and all the relaxation you can handle.

Toes in the Sand During Your Cocoa Beach Thanksgiving

When Thanksgiving day dawns at home, chances are you rise with the sun and start the day out with the first of many chores but during your Florida holiday getaway, the most urgent thing on your to do list will be “bury toes in sand!” The property is already sparkling clean, your grumpy Aunt Mildred is thousands of miles away, so you won’t have to fix her favorite foods. The beaches are often within walking distance, so go ahead, grab your beach gear out of the closet and meander over to the white sand beaches for as much toes-in-the-sand time as you need. The temperatures are beachy keen, the sun will be shining, and chances are you will be eating a meal that someone else prepared, served, and cleared away at one of our local restaurants.

We Love a Parade

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade isn’t the only game in town, especially as the Cocoa Beach Thanksgiving Parade is large and local, allowing visitors and residents the opportunity to experience all that makes a parade fun live and in person. Offering colorful floats, marching bands, and the official start of the Christmas holiday with Santa playing a key role, the parade is one of our favorite parts of Thanksgiving, aside from the pumpkin pie, of course!

A Feast to Remember

Our fully equipped kitchens can make cooking fun, but if you are on vacation, do you really want to spend precious relaxation time doing chores? Fortunately, you don’t have to, as many of our local restaurants offer turkey day feasts that will taste almost as good as the ones you make! Some of the restaurants that may be open are listed below, just remember to check one last time before heading in that direction as things can change quickly in the restaurant world.

Big Daddy J’s 5 Great Things Watering Station and Restaurant, 3850 N Atlantic Avenue

That was sure a mouthful and their Thanksgiving menu offers another mouthful you are sure to enjoy. Offers a turkey dinner and to go packs for four or 6 people.

Boardroom Cocoa Beach, 37 N Brevard Avenue

Their brunch begins and ends early and is not turkey related, but this wine bar is one of our favorite places to eat at any time of the year and it will be open on Thanksgiving morning.

Cadillac Cove, 1462 Florida A1A in Satellite Beach

Providing a delicious Thanksgiving feast with themed cocktails, Cadillac Cove’s Thanksgiving Olympics is always a big hit in the Cocoa Beach area. Offering fun games such as Gobble Goblet and Corn on the Cob Hole, cash prizes for the winners will help with Black Friday shopping the next day!
